Paris Giannakoulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demis Panagiotopoulos having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Thomas Kabolis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xarilaou United's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Kabolis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demis Panagiotopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Kabolis in the 17th minute of play forced Méga Bisdoúni BC's goalkeeper Demis Panagiotopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demis Panagiotopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panagiotis Balodimos in the 18th minute of the match. Anestis Koutos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nontas Konstantakis having to interfere. Demis Panagiotopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstantinos Pavlakoglou in the 28th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Apostolis Begnis put in a rough tackle. Apostolis Begnis kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Xarilaou United's Nontas Konstantakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Xarilaou United from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Panagiotis Balodimos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demis Panagiotopoulos was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Nontas Konstantakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panos Spyropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Panagiotis Balodimos took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Demis Panagiotopoulos. Demis Panagiotopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 71st minute Panos Spyropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nontas Konstantakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nontas Konstantakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prokopis Papachantzoulis in the 74th minute of play. Demis Panagiotopoulos made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Paris Giannakoulis sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Xarilaou United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Méga Bisdoúni BC:s goal. Panos Spyropoulos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Panos Spyropoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Xarilaou United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Xarilaou United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
