Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bart Dryden took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marinos Batiris's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Henrik Byström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fondas Papagiannopoulos in the 4th minute of play forced Skarpαri's goalkeeper Henrik Byström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Skarpαri's Henrik Byström got control of the ball when Loukas Tripitsidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Oropus's zone, Bart Dryden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaggelis Kalabakas came out of the goal and Bart Dryden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the game, Nasos Papachristakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oropus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skarpαri the free kick. The supporters of Skarpαri booed when Oropus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasos Papachristakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Bart Dryden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vaggelis Kalabakas was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the match, Oropus's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Dryden came free, but Vaggelis Kalabakas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes, Fondas Papagiannopoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oropus and the Skarpαri players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fondas Papagiannopoulos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Loukas Tripitsidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barney Ball received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Vaggelis Kalabakas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vaggelis Kalabakas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Dryden, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Barney Ball had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oropus's Marinos Batiris got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dimitris Lazaridis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Skarpαri booed when Oropus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loukas Tripitsidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Christos Agathakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dimitris Lazaridis struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vaggelis Kalabakas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skarpαri. Henrik Byström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marinos Batiris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Bart Dryden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vaggelis Kalabakas was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 40th match minute, Oropus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charis Karadimitriou to maneuver through the defense. Oropus's Vaggelis Kalabakas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitris Lazaridis in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Barney Ball shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Kalabakas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Panagiotis Rellis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skarpαri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panagiotis Rellis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nasos Papachristakis to make the kick off. Nasos Papachristakis hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Sotiris Raftis's late challenge caught a Skarpαri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sotiris Raftis helped the player get up and apologised. 51 minutes into the game, one of Oropus:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vaggelis Kalabakas had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Bart Dryden's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Skarpαri's Barney Ball got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Dimitris Lazaridis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes Skarpαri got a freekick which was hit by Christos Agathakis. Vaggelis Kalabakas came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Skarpαri's Bart Dryden. But to his dismay, Bart Dryden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Barney Ball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrik Byström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukas Tripitsidis in the 72nd minute of the match. If Bart Dryden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vaggelis Kalabakas stood somewhat misplaced when Bart Dryden came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 76 minute. Savas Katrakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Vaggelis Kalabakas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Barney Ball rounded Oropus's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. 92 minutes into the match, Skarpαri's goal looked a bit too open when Loukas Tripitsidis came free, but Henrik Byström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christos Agathakis hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marinos Batiris in the 99th minute of play forced Skarpαri's goalkeeper Henrik Byström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skarpαri played a much better game than Oropus and deserved their victory. The Oropus players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
