Giorgos Begnis's late challenge caught a Charlton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Begnis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Charlton booed when Bambakarαdhika BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Begnis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stavros Karopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Thanasis Spanakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bambakarαdhika BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charlton the free kick. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bambakarαdhika BC! In the 45th match minute, Charlton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Tsoukalis to maneuver through the defense. Bambakarαdhika BC's Kostas Theofanidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markos Kolevas in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Markos Kolevas was the one to do the kick off. Charlton's Giorgos Tripotseris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Doulgeroglou in the 54th minute of play. Giorgos Tripotseris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Doulgeroglou in the 57th minute of the match. When Bambakarαdhika BC's Nikos Doulgeroglou in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bambakarαdhika BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Markos Kolevas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Stavros Karopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Theofanidis having to interfere. Kostas Theofanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markos Kolevas in the 81st minute of the match. After 87 minutes, Leonidas Neochoritis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charlton and the Bambakarαdhika BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Markos Kolevas made a precise shot to the right of Kostas Theofanidis. Bambakarαdhika BC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Thanasis Spanakis hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
