Errikos Avgerinos came out of the goal and Pavlos Kassapis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Errikos Avgerinos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavlos Kassapis in the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Byzantium F.C.'s zone, Themis Filippakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Errikos Avgerinos came out of the goal and Themis Filippakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Pavlos Kassapis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volos NFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavlos Kassapis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th play minute Demis Paltakis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tymoteusz Pysz. 1-1. A hard shot 25 in the game by Stathis Verros from a close distance when the talented Tymoteusz Pysz managed to make a qualified save. Volos NFC's players were relieved. If Pavlos Kassapis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanos Fanatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Errikos Avgerinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Pavlos Kassapis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Errikos Avgerinos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Volos NFC's Darek Dzik seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Darek Dzik the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Volos NFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Darek Dzik had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Volos NFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Byzantium F.C.:s goal. In the 37th minute of the game, Byzantium F.C. got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Byzantium F.C.'s goalkeeper Errikos Avgerinos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Themis Filippakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Errikos Avgerinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Themis Filippakos made a kick off. If Demis Paltakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tymoteusz Pysz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akis Dellas in the 56th minute of the match. If Themis Filippakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Themis Filippakos struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Errikos Avgerinos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volos NFC. But to his dismay, Demis Paltakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 74 minutes into the match, Byzantium F.C.'s goalkeeper Errikos Avgerinos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thanos Fanatos. Themis Filippakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tymoteusz Pysz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akis Dellas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Themis Filippakoss short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Errikos Avgerinos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Volos NFC's Tymoteusz Pysz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolis Tapinos in the 81st minute of play. Volos NFC's Themis Filippakos got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanos Fanatos struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Errikos Avgerinos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volos NFC. Thanos Fanatos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Errikos Avgerinos having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Byzantium F.C.'s Manolis Tapinos got a free kick in the 88th minute. Themis Filippakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Avgerinos having to interfere. Thanos Fanatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Themis Filippakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Errikos Avgerinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Volos NFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Byzantium F.C. had won, even though Volos NFC had held more of the ball.
