After a defensive mix-up in Byzantium F.C.'s zone, Giannis Kopanos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Errikos Avgerinos came out of the goal and Giannis Kopanos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paraskevas Soupas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akis Dellas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. OFI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Akis Dellas scored to the left of an out of position Paraskevas Soupas, making the score, 1-0. Errikos Avgerinos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Kopanos in the 21st minute of play. Simos Balamoutis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Avgerinos having to interfere. Byzantium F.C.'s Errikos Avgerinos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthimos Kanatopoulos in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Giannis Kopanos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Errikos Avgerinos was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Giannis Kopanos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Byzantium F.C.'s Errikos Avgerinos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Kopanos in the 43rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giannis Kopanos during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Byzantium F.C. booed when OFI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giannis Kopanos didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Demis Paltakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, OFI's goal looked a bit too open when Akis Dellas came free, but Paraskevas Soupas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match, Giannis Kopanos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Errikos Avgerinos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Byzantium F.C.'s zone, Anthimos Kanatopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Errikos Avgerinos came out of the goal and Anthimos Kanatopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, OFI's Giannis Kopanos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Errikos Avgerinos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Giannis Kopanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demis Paltakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74th play minutes Akis Dellas shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Paraskevas Soupas and just under the crossbar into goal. Tilemachos Tokas's late challenge caught a OFI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tilemachos Tokas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Byzantium F.C.'s Tilemachos Tokas got a free kick in the 81st minute. Simos Balamoutis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The OFI fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when OFI's Giannis Kopanos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Akis Dellas in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paraskevas Soupas saved OFI from getting behind.
