Petros Kaliakoudis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 16th minute Stathis Ntouvaridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Veziropoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simos Schinas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Petros Kaliakoudis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fanis Veziropoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fokas Zoras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Marios Loukakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vartholomi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Vartholomi FC's Petros Kaliakoudis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christodoulos Drakos in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Vartholomi FC got a freekick which was hit by Eutichios Zouganelis. Fanis Veziropoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stathis Ntouvaridis in the 31st minute of play. A hard shot 37 in the game by Akakios Stavratos from a close distance when the talented Petros Kaliakoudis managed to make a qualified save. Vartholomi FC's players were relieved. After 54 played minutes Vartholomi FC got a freekick which was hit by Fokas Zoras. If Simos Schinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute.
