Spectators: 8437 (Terracing: 6329, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 168) Leonidas Papageorge started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dobromir Purzycki came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Katw Pafos Fc's Lefteris Antonopoulos. But to his dismay, Lefteris Antonopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eteokles Chronis in the 7th minute of play forced AC OMONOIA's goalkeeper Dobromir Purzycki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dihnekis Kopsas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AC OMONOIA were furious when Takis Sakellariou was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AC OMONOIA! After 20 played minutes AC OMONOIA got a freekick which was hit by Pasxalis Kyritsis. Dobromir Purzycki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dihnekis Kopsas in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Katw Pafos Fc's Lefteris Antonopoulos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Eteokles Chronis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Dobromir Purzycki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, AC OMONOIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pasxalis Kyritsis to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes, Katw Pafos Fc's Iolaos Paraskevopoulos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dobromir Purzycki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Katw Pafos Fc reached it. When Eteokles Chronis came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Katw Pafos Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eteokles Chronis couldn't finish the play. After having played for 30 minutes, Salmakis Fitzios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Katw Pafos Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salmakis Fitzios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute of the match Iolaos Paraskevopoulos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dobromir Purzycki skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Pasxalis Kyritsis managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC OMONOIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Pasxalis Kyritsis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akis Kakavetsis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

AC OMONOIA's Dobromir Purzycki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dihnekis Kopsas in the 53rd minute of play. After 56 minutes, Akheron Atsidakos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC OMONOIA and the Katw Pafos Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, AC OMONOIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akheron Atsidakos to maneuver through the defense. Salmakis Fitzios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dobromir Purzycki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Salmakis Fitzios hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Katw Pafos Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Akheron Atsidakos came free, but Akis Kakavetsis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dobromir Purzycki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dihnekis Kopsas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 75 minutes into the match, AC OMONOIA's goalkeeper Dobromir Purzycki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salmakis Fitzios. Dobromir Purzycki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salmakis Fitzios in the 76th minute. Akis Kakavetsis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pasxalis Kyritsis in the 84th minute of the match. Pasxalis Kyritsis struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Akis Kakavetsis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC OMONOIA. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Pasxalis Kyritsis managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC OMONOIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Pasxalis Kyritsis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akis Kakavetsis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Akis Kakavetsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akheron Atsidakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. AC OMONOIA's attentive Akheron Atsidakos managed to snatch the ball when Zinon Tsaousidis made a throw-in in the 96th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AC OMONOIA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
