The audience was convinced that Ferit Yiğiter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Seçkin Yoruç was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Meshaidas FC's zone, Birant Rafih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meshaidas FC's Avni Konuralp got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Göztepe S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Ferit Yiğiter came free, but Seçkin Yoruç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes Göztepe S.K got a freekick which was hit by Serkan Demircioğlu. In the 12th minute, Meshaidas FC's Ferit Yiğiter ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Seçkin Yoruç. Seçkin Yoruç yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Seçkin Yoruç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferit Yiğiter, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Göztepe S.K getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Güner Ataseven hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, Göztepe S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rüştü Akarsu to maneuver through the defense. Sabahattin Okdağ took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Seçkin Yoruç. Göztepe S.K's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tolgahan Çelebi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmet Kağan Adıgün having to make a save. In the 27th minute, Birant Rafih left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Göztepe S.K fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 34 played minutes, Göztepe S.K's Serkan Demircioğlu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ahmet Kağan Adıgün came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Göztepe S.K reached it. If Fahrettin İlhanoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Meshaidas FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Tahsin Taşdemir hit a great ball. Tolgahan Çelebi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ahmet Kağan Adıgün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Meshaidas FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Tahsin Taşdemir hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, Göztepe S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rüştü Akarsu to maneuver through the defense. Avni Konuralp might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seçkin Yoruç. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Avni Konuralp ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ferit Yiğiter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bayram Geçimoğlu's late challenge caught a Meshaidas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bayram Geçimoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Göztepe S.K getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bayram Geçimoğlu hit a great ball. The supporters of Meshaidas FC booed when Göztepe S.K was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güner Ataseven didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Göztepe S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Avni Konuralp came free, but Seçkin Yoruç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Güner Ataseven fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Göztepe S.K's protests and gave Güner Ataseven a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Göztepe S.K got a freekick which was hit by Güner Ataseven. Seçkin Yoruç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferit Yiğiter in the 85th minute of play. Göztepe S.K's Seçkin Yoruç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avni Konuralp in the 92nd minute of play. In the 97th minute, Avni Konuralp made a precise shot to the right of Seçkin Yoruç. Göztepe S.K's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Meshaidas FC had won after a very even match.
