The referee ignored Tosya's protests and gave Pekin Süngü a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Tosya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pekin Süngü to maneuver through the defense. Birant Sabit was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With an all-out effort, Tosya's Korkutalp Aktay threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aykutalp Refi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Göztepe SK booed when Tosya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aytaç Uğurlubey didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Çakabey Sidal came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Göztepe SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çakabey Sidal couldn't finish the play.
