Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emmanuel Kipketer started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Patrick Wainaina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wilson Ogot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Shekhar Khayeshe charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shekhar Khayeshe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Great Addington booed when Caistor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shekhar Khayeshe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Korir missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 19 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the David Omar right hand side. In the 20th match minute, Caistor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kipchoge Denno to maneuver through the defense. Great Addington's Samuel Akinyi got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dennis Korir kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Great Addington's goalkeeper Wilson Ogot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Wainaina. In the 34th minute Thomas Maish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Omar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Maish was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Michael Cheruiyot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Great Addington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caistor the free kick. 52 minutes into the match, Great Addington's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Wainaina came free, but Wilson Ogot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evans Shikwati struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. David Omar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Great Addington. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Michael Cheruiyot put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Great Addington getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Michael Cheruiyot hit a great ball. After 66 minutes, Patrick Wainaina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caistor and the Great Addington players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Caistor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Wainaina to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Akinyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Omar having to interfere. David Omar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Lukoye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fred Kiptanui fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Addington's protests and gave Fred Kiptanui a yellow card for diving instead. Fred Kiptanui kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Samuel Akinyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Fred Kiptanui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilson Ogot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Wainaina in the 78th minute of play. Wilson Ogot came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Caistor's Patrick Wainaina. But to his dismay, Patrick Wainaina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 85 played minutes Caistor got a freekick which was hit by Adah Asati. If Maurice Saleh Nabhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caistor's David Omar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Lukoye in the 92nd minute of play.
