Ciro Caccavale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andi Sinambela in the 22nd minute of play. If Ainar Vananurk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Urawa Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Haryanto Perangin-angin came free, but Ciro Caccavale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafino Txindoki charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafino Txindoki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Gustavo Erlantz managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 67th minute of the match, Dewa Hidayat got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ciro Caccavale was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Urawa Reds's Dario Czogalla got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Urawa Reds's Ainar Vananurk got a free kick in the 70th minute. Gustavo Erlantz hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Golden Phoenix FC's Andi Sinambela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ciro Caccavale. That made the score 0-2 after 79 minutes of play. In the 83rd minute, Widodo Suprianto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yahya Kooth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro Caccavale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Dario Czogalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
