Spectators: 8423 (Terracing: 6318, Seating: 1937, VIP seats: 168) Ullinas's Pearce Kirkham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Jimmy Pizza's zone, Rudy Kanack stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boris Wang came out of the goal and Rudy Kanack tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rudy Kanack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ullinas's Pearce Kirkham got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute Pearce Kirkham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Wang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernard Millar hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Damian Byrnes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Damian Byrnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Pearce Kirkham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Wang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Byrnes made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bern Reilly. When Pearce Kirkham came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ullinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pearce Kirkham couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Cornelius Obrien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ullinas booed when Jimmy Pizza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelius Obrien didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Ullinas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevin Carragher was the one to do the kick off. When Cregan Hicks came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ullinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cregan Hicks couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Lowrey Gray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ullinas booed when Jimmy Pizza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bern Reilly didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boris Wang was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Rudy Kanack capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rudy Kanack really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Boris Wang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lowrey Gray in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Ullinas's Pearce Kirkham dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Boris Wang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudy Kanack in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute, Rudy Kanack left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ullinas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Boris Wang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cregan Hicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Pearce Kirkham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodney Miels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Boris Wang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Jimmy Pizza getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jackson Quinn hit a great ball. Ullinas played a much better game than Jimmy Pizza and deserved their victory. The Jimmy Pizza players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
