Alvaro Rotili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izydor Kochowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Kosiorek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13thth minute of the game Alexander De Lellis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Poland's Daniel Jajko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Angelo Di Livio threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Poland's Teobald Pyczkowski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 18th minute, Igor Kosiorek reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alvaro Rotili. The goal made the score 1-0. Daniel Jajko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander De Lellis in the 21st minute of play. Alvaro Rotili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryszard Siekierka in the 25th minute. U21 Italy's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Kosiorek in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute U21 Poland were awarded a corner. Ryszard Siekierka went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on U21 Poland's corner Adam Makowski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alvaro Rotili quite easily take care of the ball. U21 Poland's Teobald Pyczkowski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sad Gollum in the 40 minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Alvaro Rotili successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Daniel Jajko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rik Hello in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Diego Tucci took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Daniel Jajko to make any attempt to save it. U21 Poland's Mieszko Chodzinski was substituted for Ryszard Siekierka. Daniel Jajko came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Italy's Diego Tucci. But to his dismay, Diego Tucci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izydor Kochowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the U21 Italy defense, Izydor Kochowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Rotili. The U21 Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Rotili should have stopped the shot. Diego Tucci let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 93rd minute shot 4-3 at rihgt post. When U21 Poland's Miska Cavia in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Italy's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the U21 Italy players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Poland.
