After 36 played minutes Sporting Clube Patrício got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Cortez. Egídio Vilela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adah Trinidad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Sporting Clube Patrício's Egídio Vilela got control of the ball when Mario Ceandro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gastão Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Clube Patrício's protests and gave Gastão Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Imрêriо Aztêćâ booed when Sporting Clube Patrício was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gastão Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
