Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Carl Vang made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes University of Rochester got a freekick which was hit by Javier Pace. After a defensive mix-up in University of Rochester's zone, Quincy Burks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ari Coleman came out of the goal and Quincy Burks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Cuevas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Stubbs in the 58th minute of the match. New Whiteland FC's Peter Cuevas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josiah Casey in the 62nd minute of play. Jonathan Pollock didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes, University of Rochester's Rubin Newby shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Peter Cuevas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in University of Rochester reached it. Peter Cuevas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Josiah Casey went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute Rubin Newby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Cuevas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Danny Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Cuevas. New Whiteland FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danny Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. University of Rochester's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
