Spectators: 7097 (Terracing: 5324, Seating: 1632, VIP seats: 141) Arsenal F. C.'s Christian George started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Christian George left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arsenal F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Octavio Herrera came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Arsenal F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Herrera couldn't finish the play. Candido Izotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Herrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Candido Izotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian George, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 15 minutes, Octavio Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Herrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Candido Izotz came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal F. C.'s Octavio Herrera. But to his dismay, Octavio Herrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Candido Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Herrera in the 23rd minute of play. Emanuel Irimia came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Deroense's Waldir Baptista. But to his dismay, Waldir Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Candido Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian George in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Deportivo Deroense's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Herrera came free, but Candido Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes Deportivo Deroense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marian Bara who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Marian Bara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Candido Izotz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42nd minute, Christian George left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arsenal F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After the first half Arsenal F. C. were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 60th minute, Şenel Baran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Candido Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Bara in the 61st minute of play. Cleto Hotz made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Octavio Herrera however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Deroense's Waldir Baptista got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Deportivo Deroense's Candido Izotz got control of the ball when Filiberto Edorta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal F. C.'s goalkeeper Emanuel Irimia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Candido Izotz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Herrera in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Herrera in the 77th minute of play forced Deportivo Deroense's goalkeeper Candido Izotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 79 in the game by Christian George from a close distance when the talented Candido Izotz managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo Deroense's players were relieved. Deportivo Deroense's Eustaquio Abad quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Feliberto Bidun, made in the 83rd minute of the game. Deportivo Deroense's Candido Izotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Herrera in the 88th minute of play. When Waldir Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Deportivo Deroense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Baptista couldn't finish the play. Candido Izotz made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Christian George sent off a good shot on target. Candido Izotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Herrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Arsenal F. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
