Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Archie Ambriz got the match started through his kick off. Ari Coleman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Mercado, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Black Knights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Valentin came free, but Rory Whitlock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ari Coleman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Connor Salgado in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Black Knights FC's Kareem Arredondo got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Danny Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Whitlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jamar Patton got free with Rory Whitlock in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute, Elliot Mercado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, University of Rochester's Francesco Cramer got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tim Crain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Connor Salgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ari Coleman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute, Sherman Morse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marty Bassett took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ari Coleman. University of Rochester's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Archie Ambriz hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The University of Rochester players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Black Knights FC were winning 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elliot Mercado made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, University of Rochester's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Mercado came free, but Ari Coleman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Danny Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The University of Rochester fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 59 minutes into the match, University of Rochester's goal looked a bit too open when Connor Salgado came free, but Ari Coleman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rory Whitlock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamar Patton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Black Knights FC's Kareem Arredondo got a free kick in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Rafferty in the 68th minute of play forced Black Knights FC's goalkeeper Rory Whitlock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rory Whitlock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jamar Patton went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Black Knights FC's Rory Whitlock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Rafferty in the 73rd minute of play. Boyce Garza charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boyce Garza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Black Knights FC's Boyce Garza got a free kick in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the game, University of Rochester's Vicente Rafferty nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rory Whitlock made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Elliot Mercado took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ari Coleman. Ari Coleman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Seth Otto put in a rough tackle. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Black Knights FC! Danny Valentin took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rory Whitlock. Rory Whitlock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Connor Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ari Coleman having to interfere. Tim Crain was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The University of Rochester fans cheered their team off the field, for while Black Knights FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
