The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Creekers's Johnathan Douglas got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute Claudio Del Giudice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peer Unterligauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Del Giudice struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Peer Unterligauer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Creekers. When SK Fenerbahce Wien's Ysidro Bazquez in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Creekers's goalie prevented a goal. Johnathan Douglas made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Michel Bastos immediately put the ball in play. Arnoldo Orgaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bryant Miles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Otto Faust hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lütfullah Visali stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Peer Unterligauer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peer Unterligauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Del Giudice in the 61st minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Lütfullah Visali reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bryant Miles. The goal made the score 0-1. Peer Unterligauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Del Giudice, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Claudio Del Giudice put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Peer Unterligauer. Creekers made a substitution. Xavier Salazar replaced Evan Cohen. Creekers's Johnathan Douglas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Otto Faust, made in the 77th minute of the game. In the 81st minute of the match Creekers got a corner. SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anwar Basim ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Creekers's Claudio Del Giudice to fire away a dangerous shot which Peer Unterligauer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the SK Fenerbahce Wien defense, Claudio Del Giudice kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peer Unterligauer. The SK Fenerbahce Wien fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peer Unterligauer should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute Claudio Del Giudice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peer Unterligauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peer Unterligauer came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Creekers's Claudio Del Giudice. But to his dismay, Claudio Del Giudice quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The throw-in from Otto Faust in the 94th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Creekers's Johnathan Douglas. After a rather tough play, Creekers's Johnathan Douglas got a free kick in the 96th minute. Creekers's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
