When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Sheldon Arredondo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Aristides Jakue to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Torbellino's Aristides Jakue got control of the ball when Sheldon Arredondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game was made by Severo Diegotxe with Philippe Egtved as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelino Ortzi in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Smallwood saved Santos FC from getting behind.
