Benji Galeas helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes U21 El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Benji Galeas. A sloppy throw-in by Benji Galeas in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 South Korea's 강 승. Manúel Gonzáles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Son Son in the 17th minute. Raúl Quintanilla kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Orlando Fornos managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Fornos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 박 어금 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd match minute, U21 South Korea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 조 내 to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Son Son took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Manúel Gonzáles to make any attempt to save it. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Son Son made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in U21 El Salvador's zone, Son Son stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manúel Gonzáles came out of the goal and Son Son tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Efren Montes got free with 박 어금 in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Orlando Fornos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 South Korea made a substitution. 김 미 replaced Son Son. In the 63rd match minute, U21 El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Jaime Pineda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 박 어금 made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Efren Montes sent off a good shot on target. Manúel Gonzáles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 김 미, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. U21 El Salvador made a substitution. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, U21 El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when 김 남 came free, but Manúel Gonzáles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 박 어금 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Bustamante in the 92nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the U21 El Salvador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 South Korea.
