An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Turner in the 39th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Rufus Bryant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lanny Gilmore had several of the S.D. Bajen's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 42 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Rufus Bryant as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 46th minute, Fidel Birjaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lanny Gilmore to make the kick off. After 88 played minutes Santos FC got a freekick which was hit by Titus Kohler. In the 90th minute, Omar Montrel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aaron Smallwood was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When Virgilio Yeats fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC's protests and gave Virgilio Yeats a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Santos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.D. Bajen:s goal. S.D. Bajen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicodim Cârjă in the 95th minute. The corner led S.D. Bajen's Adrian Nicolae to fire away a dangerous shot which Aaron Smallwood despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The S.D. Bajen players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
