The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Adam Lee took the kick off in the first half of the match. Adam Lee succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 9th playminute. 12 minutes into the match, Dale Tuan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berting Nakpawan. Philippines's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Tuan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 16th minute Adam Lee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berting Nakpawan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Adam Lee put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Berting Nakpawan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adam Lee in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berting Nakpawan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adam Lee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berting Nakpawan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Dale Tuan kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Philippines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmer Rumusod to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Philippines got a freekick which was hit by Elmer Rumusod. In the 34thth minute of the game Adam Lee who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Philippines's Berting Nakpawan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Philippines's goalkeeper Berting Nakpawan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Lee. Berting Nakpawan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Lee, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Philippines's goalkeeper Berting Nakpawan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Lee. Adam Lee who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Berting Nakpawan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 46 minutes, Bienvinido Ronda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Philippines and the Singapore players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Dale Tuan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the game, Singapore's Adam Lee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berting Nakpawan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 58th match minute, Philippines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jomari Valmayor to maneuver through the defense. Berting Nakpawan came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Singapore's Adam Lee. But to his dismay, Adam Lee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Berting Nakpawan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Lee's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Adam Lee put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Berting Nakpawan. In the 74th minute Adam Lee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berting Nakpawan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berting Nakpawan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Lee's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Singapore's Adam Lee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Singapore's Tan Lee was substituted for Jerry Butcher. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Philippines's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Steven Laycock was slow to take the kick. During this time Singapore's players had a chance to rest. Berting Nakpawan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Tuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes, Adam Lee made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Philippines's Berting Nakpawan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Adam Lee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elmer Rumusod charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elmer Rumusod the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Singapore fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Singapore's Adam Lee looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Singapore's Adam Lee in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Philippines's goalie prevented a goal.
