José Garrido was slow to take the kick. During this time Lobos de Carelia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Lobos de Carelia's Emílio Drinkwater to fire away a dangerous shot which Geronimo Eleazar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 12 minutes, Emílio Drinkwater made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Olympikus F.C's Geronimo Eleazar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jairo Gotzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Ostots in the 16th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Hermengildo Criston in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Olympikus F.C's Igor Kalchev. Geronimo Eleazar made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Herminio Dalmai sent off a good shot on target. Juan Fernando Quintero might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jairo Gotzon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Fernando Quintero ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Ostots came free, but Jairo Gotzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Gotzon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Ostots, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Julio Filipo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Juan Fernando Quintero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Gotzon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Jairo Gotzon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute of the match Olympikus F.C got a corner. Lobos de Carelia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The wind increased when Herminio Dalmai made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Claudio Ostots had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Gotzon. Lobos de Carelia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Ostots was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Hermengildo Criston made in the 60th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Emílio Drinkwater however managed to control. Lobos de Carelia's Jairo Gotzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Ostots in the 64th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Jairo Gotzon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nedas Buzelis. Olympikus F.C made a substitution. Jairo Tono replaced Samuel Jobo. With an all-out effort, Olympikus F.C's Jairo Gotzon threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tobiasz Rostow, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Dalmai in the 82nd minute of play forced Olympikus F.C's goalkeeper Geronimo Eleazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Tobiasz Rostow left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olympikus F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Olympikus F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
