The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Modeste Petitpas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leendert Robbermond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduard Ţopescu got free with Leendert Robbermond in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Korneliusz Ogrodowicz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Guido Masetti. A hard shot 12 in the game by Eduard Ţopescu from a close distance when the talented Leendert Robbermond managed to make a qualified save. DS ACADEMY TEAM's players were relieved. 14 minutes into the match, DS ACADEMY TEAM's goal looked a bit too open when Aymerick Nadal came free, but Leendert Robbermond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leendert Robbermond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Dutton in the 15th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Korneliusz Ogrodowicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guido Masetti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Leendert Robbermond came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Stade Rennais's Liam Dutton. But to his dismay, Liam Dutton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 32 minutes into the match, Stade Rennais's Liam Dutton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leendert Robbermond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stade Rennais's Guido Masetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Lopez in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, DS ACADEMY TEAM's goalkeeper Leendert Robbermond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduard Ţopescu. Guido Masetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aymerick Nadal to strike the kick off in the second half. Leendert Robbermond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aymerick Nadal in the 51st minute of play. In the 51st minute, Walter Ekeroth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leendert Robbermond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aymerick Nadal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, DS ACADEMY TEAM's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Ţopescu came free, but Leendert Robbermond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1-3 became the score in the 59th minute when Fausto Lopez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. DS ACADEMY TEAM's Leendert Robbermond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liam Dutton in the 62nd minute of play. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by DS ACADEMY TEAM's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Modeste Petitpas was slow to take the kick. During this time Stade Rennais's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Stade Rennais's corner Liam Dutton fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leendert Robbermond quite easily take care of the ball. In the 71st match minute, Stade Rennais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Péron to maneuver through the defense. Jan Lindholm shot from long distance in the 72nd minute, but Guido Masetti was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Leendert Robbermond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Dutton in the 73rd minute of the match. Romulo Brion kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Alban Stoltz fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stade Rennais's protests and gave Alban Stoltz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Stade Rennais getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Alban Stoltz hit a great ball. After 87 minutes, Fausto Lopez made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Stade Rennais's Guido Masetti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, DS ACADEMY TEAM's goal looked a bit too open when Aymerick Nadal came free, but Leendert Robbermond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Dutton in the 94th minute of play forced DS ACADEMY TEAM's goalkeeper Leendert Robbermond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. DS ACADEMY TEAM had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
