Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jerzy Niedbalski got the match started through his kick off. Przemyslaw Szczęsny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Oltean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, U21 Poland's Jerzy Niedbalski got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Jerzy Niedbalski made a precise shot to the right of Sabin Pânzaru. U21 Romania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Eric Oltean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 15 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Adam Nigbor. Fabian Tomaszewski kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Przemyslaw Szczęsny came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Romania's Eric Oltean. But to his dismay, Eric Oltean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Przemyslaw Szczęsny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Oltean in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Florin Imperatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Przemyslaw Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Poland's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wincent Awizo in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, U21 Poland's Przemyslaw Szczęsny got control of the ball when Eric Oltean tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerzy Niedbalski in the 41st minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper Sabin Pânzaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabin Pânzaru came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Poland's Jerzy Niedbalski. But to his dismay, Jerzy Niedbalski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 45 minutes U21 Poland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Calistrat Brânzaș who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on U21 Romania's corner Calistrat Brânzaș fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Przemyslaw Szczęsny quite easily take care of the ball. Eric Oltean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Przemyslaw Szczęsny having to interfere. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, U21 Romania's Francisc Mândru got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Jerzy Niedbalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Przemyslaw Szczęsny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Oltean in the 58th minute of play. U21 Romania's Declan Rice managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Andrzej Dobrowski in the 60 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Oltean in the 61st minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Przemyslaw Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Poland made a substitution. Ksawery Bilicki replaced Jerzy Niedbalski. Andrzej Dobrowski made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Romania's Francisc Mândru. 68 minutes into the game, Eric Oltean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Romania's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Poland the free kick. In the 68th match minute, U21 Romania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Oltean to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the game, Florin Imperatore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Przemyslaw Szczęsny was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. U21 Poland's Stanislaw Kolbe was substituted for Francesc Totti. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Sabin Pânzaru successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Florin Imperatore spun around in front of the goal 86 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of U21 Poland's goal. Calistrat Brânzaș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ksawery Bilicki came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the U21 Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ksawery Bilicki couldn't finish the play. Andrzej Dobrowski hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
