Jeremias Leoncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Chițes in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Mihăiţă Drăucean got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Marin Chițes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Leoncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's attack was well implemented in the 14th minute, but when Mircea Iorda was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Ambrosio Ibañez kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Jeremias Leoncio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Chițes in the 20th minute of the match. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Marin Chițes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Pascual Ortle fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chorroarín's protests and gave Pascual Ortle a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when Chorroarín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Ortle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marin Chițes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Ambrosio Ibañez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Drăucean. In the 35th minute, Mircea Iorda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Leoncio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 40 minutes Chorroarín's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florin Negrilă who took care of the corner kick. The corner led PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Florin Negrilă to fire away a dangerous shot which Jeremias Leoncio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Chorroarín's Jeremias Leoncio got control of the ball when Marin Chițes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Chorroarín booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihăiţă Drăucean didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aureliano Furman made a kick off. Dobrin Phoenix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremias Leoncio having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Mircea Iorda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Leoncio was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Chorroarín's zone, Mircea Iorda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Leoncio came out of the goal and Mircea Iorda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Leoncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Iorda in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mircea Iorda in the 68th minute of play forced Chorroarín's goalkeeper Jeremias Leoncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Martin Pistol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ambrosio Ekain. In the 77th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phoenix Phoenix to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Teodoro Txaran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Marin Chițes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Leoncio was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
