If Frankie Senior had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Burley in the 4th minute of play forced Scotland's goalkeeper Adrian McKinning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clive Radcliffe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adrian McKinning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darius Greenman, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 minutes Scotland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mike Price who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Andorra's Mike Price to fire away a dangerous shot which Adrian McKinning despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience cheered when Mike Price's long shot passed Adrian McKinning's right side. It was 1-1, 18 minutes into the match. The Andorra fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Andorra's Frankie Senior looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Andorra's Albert Trueman in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scotland's goalie prevented a goal. In the 33rd minute Nicky Attenborough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian McKinning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andorra's Clive Radcliffe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Andorra from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Scotland's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Trueman came free, but Adrian McKinning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian McKinning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Trueman in the 54th minute of play. Scotland's Adrian McKinning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frankie Senior in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Frankie Senior reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adrian McKinning. The goal made the score 1-3. Scotland's Daniel McComas was substituted for Innes McKnight. With a little luck, Scotland's Adrian McKinning got control of the ball when Liam Burley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Liam Burley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Adrian McKinning made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Liam Burley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adrian McKinning, 1-4. Adrian McKinning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Trueman in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liam Burley got free with Adrian McKinning in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liam Burley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrian McKinning was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Albert Trueman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albert Trueman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Adrian McKinning didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frankie Senior went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. When the match was over Andorra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Scotland throughout the match.
