Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Popic in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Racing Club got a corner. Arsenal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Argina ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Romeo Shepherd advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute Dalmacio Pacorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Julio Gonzales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carolo Senin in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Laurentzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Popic in the 24th minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Martínez came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club's Romeo Shepherd. But to his dismay, Romeo Shepherd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Diego Laurentzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Quexal. Santos Godoy hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Arsenal's Emiliano Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Pacorro in the 35th minute of play.
