If Awstin Hawley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Owls III's zone, Aeddan Lavender stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rhobert Felton came out of the goal and Aeddan Lavender tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UWA Aberystwyth's Aeddan Lavender got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Rhyawdd Fickett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UWA Aberystwyth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Owls III the free kick. After 21 played minutes UWA Aberystwyth got a freekick which was hit by Rhyawdd Fickett. Evan Lonsdale succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 23rd playminute. In the 29thth minute of the game Awstin Hawley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Owls III's Rhobert Felton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Awstin Hawley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Awstin Hawley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhobert Felton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pasgen Felt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
After having played for 55 minutes, Awstin Hawley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Aberystwyth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Awstin Hawley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aeddan Lavender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Awstin Hawley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Owls III's Rhobert Felton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Owls III from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Aeddan Lavender reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rhobert Felton. The goal made the score 2-1. The supporters of UWA Aberystwyth booed when Owls III was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pasgen Felt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pasgen Felt came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Owls III fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pasgen Felt couldn't finish the play. Awstin Hawley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rhobert Felton having to make a save. After 91 minutes, Kai Foody mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Owls III and the UWA Aberystwyth players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Kai Foody hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aeddan Lavender sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Owls III's goal looked a bit too open when Aeddan Lavender came free, but Rhobert Felton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meurig Aykroyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Owls III fans cheered their team off the field, for while UWA Aberystwyth had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
