Lukáš Dvorčák started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Horinka in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hannes Randala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, U21 Slovakia's Miroslav Jendrišek got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 5 minutes, Buba Huba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Slovakia and the U21 Estonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of U21 Estonia booed when U21 Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buba Huba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oskar Tásler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Muruaas in the 6th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Lukáš Dvorčák cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hannes Randala was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Ander Uibomäe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oskar Tásler. That made the score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. If Ander Uibomäe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, U21 Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslav Jendrišek to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, U21 Estonia's goal looked a bit too open when Ant Man came free, but Hannes Randala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oskar Tásler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sepo Kroonpea in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karmo Lepassaar in the 26th minute of play forced U21 Slovakia's goalkeeper Oskar Tásler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute of the match U21 Estonia got a corner. U21 Slovakia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mattias Õigus ran over to the corner to take the kick. U21 Estonia's Mattias Õigus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oskar Tásler in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mattias Õigus hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, U21 Slovakia's goalkeeper Oskar Tásler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ander Uibomäe. 38 minutes into the match, U21 Estonia's goal looked a bit too open when Pavol Bicák came free, but Hannes Randala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 minutes, Richard Horinka made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Estonia's Hannes Randala tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lukáš Dvorčák in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hannes Randala saved U21 Estonia from getting behind. 2-2 became the score in the 47th minute when Sepo Kroonpea elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sepo Kroonpea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hannes Randala didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lukáš Dvorčák went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. If Sepo Kroonpea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U21 Estonia made a substitution. Kristofer Roolaht replaced Helmut Lips. Richard Horinka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oskar Tásler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jürgen Muruaas, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Slovakia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
