With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Isaia in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Božin Andreevski saved U21 Macedonia from getting behind. Alex Isaia got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 10th match minute before Božin Andreevski had time to react. 16 minutes into the match, U21 Macedonia's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Isaia came free, but Božin Andreevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Alex Isaia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Božin Andreevski. U21 Macedonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Isaia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Alex Isaia came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the U21 Romania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Isaia couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Alex Isaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Božin Andreevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Božin Andreevski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ionuț Jităreanu in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Horea Boian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ştefan Mârzac got free with Božin Andreevski in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alex Isaia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 29th playminute. The supporters of U21 Macedonia booed when U21 Romania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionuț Jităreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horea Botgros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diljan Dzaferi in the 38th minute of play. Alex Isaia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Božin Andreevski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Macedonia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ştefan Mârzac was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Romania's players had a chance to rest. U21 Macedonia's Diljan Dzaferi got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nderim Kostov to make the kick off. Horea Botgros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nderim Kostov in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd match minute, U21 Macedonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlastimir Vasilevski to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Marco Reus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Božin Andreevski was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 92nd minute Marco Reus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Božin Andreevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goalkeeper Horea Botgros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nderim Kostov. The supporters of U21 Romania booed when U21 Macedonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deljan Trpev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Elce Teleagă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Romania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. U21 Romania were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of U21 Macedonia for a fine match.
