An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Dale in the 8th minute of play forced Indianapolis's goalkeeper Bryce Brewster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Indianapolis's Bob Langford threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronny Butcher, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ronny Butcher succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 17th playminute. With an all-out effort, Indianapolis's Bob Langford threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronny Butcher, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Indianapolis's zone, Billy Dale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryce Brewster came out of the goal and Billy Dale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bryce Brewster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enoch Shields in the 25th minute of the match. Bryce Brewster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Conley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Enoch Shields shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryce Brewster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Brian Conley notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Indianapolis's Bryce Brewster. Bryce Brewster was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronny Butcher was the one to do the kick off. Ronny Butcher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bob Langford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Bryce Brewster successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 74 minutes into the game, Dallas Cowboys's Enoch Shields nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bryce Brewster made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Thanks to some nice moves Enoch Shields could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Bryce Brewster however easily saved by the left post. Indianapolis's Bryce Brewster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Dale in the 79th minute of play. In the 96th minute Billy Dale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryce Brewster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryce Brewster made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Stacey Shaver sent off a good shot on target. The Indianapolis fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dallas Cowboys were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
