Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) An unexpectedly hard shot by Darick Gillmour in the 4th minute of play forced Poland's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Darick Gillmour came free, but Gigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ireland's Breannain Byrne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ireland from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Poland booed when Ireland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darick Gillmour didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Sean McGlenn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Ireland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Buach McIan to maneuver through the defense. Ireland's Breannain Byrne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Ireland from getting a goal against them. Breannain Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaw Petrasz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brannen Murphy, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Ireland getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Raonall Savic hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Ireland's Darick Gillmour nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigi Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sean McGlenn was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustaw Petrasz in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Breannain Byrne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Gustaw Petrasz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breannain Byrne was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 57th minute Darick Gillmour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darick Gillmour, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Gigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Sean McGlenn sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaw Petrasz in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Breannain Byrne saved Ireland from getting behind. After having played for 68 minutes, Gustaw Petrasz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaw Petrasz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Poland made a substitution. Jaroslaw Milko replaced Korneliusz Cizeski. Poland's Gigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baptist Ghee in the 72nd minute of play. Gustaw Petrasz struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Breannain Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poland. Breannain Byrne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaw Petrasz's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. When Radomir Czerner came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radomir Czerner couldn't finish the play. Breannain Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyryl Wodaszak, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Cyryl Wodaszak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breannain Byrne having to make a save. Radomir Czerner struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Breannain Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poland. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ireland walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
