Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeffrey den Hertogh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertrand Aelgoet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Goffrey Vinckx in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roland de Rooy saved Netherlands from getting behind. Jeffrey den Hertogh kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
