Baraxil Sarrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasio Wyrzykowski in the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goalkeeper Wieslaw Rzeszutko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco José Millán. Wieslaw Rzeszutko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco José Millán in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Francisco José Millán dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wieslaw Rzeszutko, 2-0. After 39 played minutes U21 Spain got a freekick which was hit by Francisco José Millán. Baraxil Sarrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasio Wyrzykowski in the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mieszko Komornicki made a kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 Poland fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Wieslaw Rzeszutko had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Francisco José Millán's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 4-0 came in the 58th minute when Francisco José Millán all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Wieslaw Rzeszutko. Thanks to some nice moves Robert Duszenski could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Baraxil Sarrate however easily saved by the left post. Wieslaw Rzeszutko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco José Millán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Mieszko Komornicki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baraxil Sarrate. U21 Spain's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mieszko Komornicki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Bogdan Ciupierdo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 98thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Baraxil Sarrate would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post.

U21 Poland's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
