Casper Hulsebos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 98th minute of the match U21 Brazil got a corner. U21 Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alessandro Nesta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alessandro Nesta made a great header on U21 Brazil's corner, it was just that U21 Netherlands's Casper Hulsebos managed to reach the ball for a save. Chants of U21 Brazil echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as U21 Netherlands had held the ball for most of the match.
