In the 10th minute, Michele Kindle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Liechtenstein's Norman Andermatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saba Kont in the 12th minute of play. U21 Estonia were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after U21 Liechtenstein's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sten Andrejević took the corner. After taking down the ball on U21 Estonia's corner Sten Andrejević fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Norman Andermatt quite easily take care of the ball. In the 15th minute, Saba Kont got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norman Andermatt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Andrejević in the 18th minute of the match. U21 Liechtenstein's Norman Andermatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Andrejević in the 20th minute of play. U21 Liechtenstein's Norman Andermatt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save U21 Liechtenstein from getting a goal against them. In the 22ndth minute of the game Lukas Kathan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Estonia's Kalju Aavola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norman Andermatt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saba Kont went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Norman Andermatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Andrejević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes, Emanuel Bauser mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Liechtenstein and the U21 Estonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of U21 Estonia booed when U21 Liechtenstein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Bauser didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, U21 Estonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaak Taelma to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes U21 Estonia got a freekick which was hit by Jaak Taelma. In the 37th match minute, U21 Estonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaak Taelma to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, U21 Liechtenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Andrejević came free, but Norman Andermatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norman Andermatt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaak Taelma in the 43rd minute. Norman Andermatt was a little too slow when Saba Kont got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukas Kathan made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saba Kont in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norman Andermatt saved U21 Liechtenstein from getting behind. Kalju Aavola made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Lukas Kathan sent off a good shot on target. After 60 minutes of play, U21 Estonia's Saba Kont made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norman Andermatt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Norman Andermatt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Andrejević in the 63rd minute of the match. Andro Pirlo struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Norman Andermatt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Estonia. 70 minutes into the match, U21 Liechtenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Andrejević came free, but Norman Andermatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norman Andermatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saba Kont, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sten Andrejević in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norman Andermatt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Liechtenstein's zone, Saba Kont stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norman Andermatt came out of the goal and Saba Kont tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute Andro Pirlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norman Andermatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, U21 Liechtenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Saba Kont came free, but Norman Andermatt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jaak Taelma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Sten Andrejević put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Norman Andermatt. Jaak Taelma hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that U21 Estonia were the better team. U21 Estonia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
