Francisco Seme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Nestor Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isaias Lehoi succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Argentina made a substitution. Hipolito Karlo replaced Agustin Heredia. Brazil's Frederico Martins was substituted for Frederico Rosado. A sloppy throw-in by Walter Kannemann in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brazil's Manuel Paes. Francisco Seme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Martins in the 73rd minute of play. Ricardinho Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Karlo in the 88th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Argentina defense, Frederico Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Seme. The Argentina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Seme should have stopped the shot. Manuel Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Francisco Seme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brazil were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Argentina for a fine match.
