Gadi Yamin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iwan Bronicki to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, U21 Israel's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprian Olchowy came free, but Tamir Gavri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tamir Gavri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korneliusz Dyczkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute Gili Grot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliusz Marosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Korneliusz Dyczkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute U21 Israel were awarded a corner. Gadi Yamin went to the cornerflag to take it. U21 Israel's Gadi Yamin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aureliusz Marosz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 94th match minute, U21 Israel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Bunzl to maneuver through the defense. U21 Israel's Tamir Gavri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korneliusz Dyczkowski in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The U21 Poland fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Israel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
