The corner ended in Aaron McSteve almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Latvia's Oļģerts Volbergs did a great save. Aivars Rudzis in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brennan Dunne, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Latvia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
