Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Maik Peintner got the match started through his kick off. Dustin Krammer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Peppinck having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Hans Heuvel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jordi Peppinck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Schertz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jordi Peppinck made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Hans-Georg Garden sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Heuvel in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lütfi Özer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Austria's Klaus Schaffer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Klaus Schaffer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Austria protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Klaus Schaffer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Austria fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Lütfi Özer had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Danny de Jaeger's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Austria's Lütfi Özer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthijs Rieks in the 22nd minute of play. Lütfi Özer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny de Jaeger in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Schertz in the 33rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Jordi Peppinck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th play minute Hans-Georg Garden came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jordi Peppinck. 1-1. Hans-Georg Garden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Peppinck having to interfere. In the 39th minute of the match, Hans-Georg Garden got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jordi Peppinck was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lütfi Özer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Heuvel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Dimitrie Westra. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hans Heuvel made a kick off. Hans Heuvel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Lütfi Özer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danny de Jaeger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lütfi Özer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans-Georg Garden in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jordi Peppinck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 58 in the game by Marinus Zandee from a close distance when the talented Lütfi Özer managed to make a qualified save. Austria's players were relieved. 67 minutes into the game, Marinus Zandee lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Lütfi Özer. Netherlands's Koos de Vries was substituted for Hans Heuvel. Austria's Mark Mäe was substituted for Maik Peintner. 71 minutes into the game, Dustin Krammer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Jordi Peppinck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jordi Peppinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Georg Garden in the 74th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Austria's goalkeeper Lütfi Özer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Koos de Vries. In the 82nd minute Danny de Jaeger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Özer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rdth minute of the game Hans Schertz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Jordi Peppinck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dario Burdach was slow to take the kick. During this time Austria's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Dario Burdach got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jordi Peppinck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lütfi Özer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny de Jaeger in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dustin Krammer in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jordi Peppinck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koos de Vries in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lütfi Özer saved Austria from getting behind.
