Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Karljohan Kreisberg kicked off to start the match. Denmark's Igor Kraag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dev Kulkarni in the 5th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Dhrsita Khongstid kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Igor Kraag. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, India's goal looked a bit too open when Bertel Gerup came free, but Heman Mahal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Ralph Stimo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but India's Heman Mahal did a great save. Heman Mahal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karljohan Kreisberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heman Mahal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karljohan Kreisberg in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Karljohan Kreisberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heman Mahal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, India's Adhiratha Kaal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Igor Kraag. Igor Kraag yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, Denmark's Igor Kraag got control of the ball when Dev Kulkarni tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, India's goal looked a bit too open when Bertel Gerup came free, but Heman Mahal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after India's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ralph Stimo took the corner. Bertel Gerup fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heman Mahal having to interfere. In the 36th minute Dev Kulkarni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Kraag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Therkel Corrit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Therkel Corrit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heman Mahal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Karljohan Kreisberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heman Mahal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of India booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregers Edelbeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dev Kulkarni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Gregers Edelbeck. India's Jamie Junior got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Valvik to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Adhiratha Kaal notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Denmark's Igor Kraag. Igor Kraag was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamie Junior in the 61st minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Igor Kraag to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Karljohan Kreisberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heman Mahal was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Heman Mahal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertel Gerup in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heman Mahal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jadhav Chavan's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jadhav Chavan helped the player get up and apologised. Denmark made a substitution. Thejs Staanum replaced Ralph Stimo. A collision led to India getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jadhav Chavan hit a great ball. Bertel Gerup's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heman Mahal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in India's zone, Bertel Gerup stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heman Mahal came out of the goal and Bertel Gerup tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. India's Naveen Rudrappa was substituted for Adhiratha Kaal. Dhrsita Khongstid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Igor Kraag tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaya Chettri during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jaya Chettri hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 83 minutes of play, India's Dev Kulkarni made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Kraag was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denmark's Igor Kraag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dhrsita Khongstid in the 86th minute of play. India's Jamie Junior was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Igor Kraag in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Denmark's Igor Kraag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naveen Rudrappa in the 89th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Karljohan Kreisberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Heman Mahal however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Karljohan Kreisberg took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Heman Mahal to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The India fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
