Seating: 5448, VIP seats: 473) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bo Kvist got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Sweden were awarded a corner. Andreas Käller went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Sweden's Ronny Lilja got control of the ball when Afonso Antunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rui Patrício made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Kvist in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Magnusson in the 18th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Rui Patrício to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Paulo Setúbal got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Rui Patrício showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Käller in the 23rd minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso Antunes was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Lars Magnusson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rui Patrício, 1-1. In the 95th minute Anders Njurenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Patrício saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
