Zack Dwyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Canto in the 19th minute of play. Reinaldo Bourdette kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Zack Dwyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Canto in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Shon Carver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zack Dwyer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitório Trevisan's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Leandros Heidemann took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zack Dwyer. Zack Dwyer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Brenton Tapia came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the U21 Canada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brenton Tapia couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, Cesaire Graham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of U21 Brazil booed when U21 Canada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornell Wilhelm didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Tony Stark managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Brazil's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Stark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zack Dwyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, U21 Canada's Zack Dwyer got control of the ball when Rony Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Shon Carver came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the U21 Canada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shon Carver couldn't finish the play. The U21 Brazil supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U21 Brazil would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
