Txema Udoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paul Dybala's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Paul Dybala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Txema Udoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Guerrero in the 22nd minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Jurand Rasiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Paolo Guerrero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jurand Rasiak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jurand Rasiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Suane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Dybala got free with Txema Udoy in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paul Dybala's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Txema Udoy firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Andrzej Shevchenko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Txema Udoy was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Paolo Guerrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Poland's Wawrzyniec Piechna was substituted for Paul Dybala. Txema Udoy made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Beniamin Absolwent sent off a good shot on target. Jurand Rasiak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Guerrero's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hipolito Suane to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Walery Witek. U21 Peru's Txema Udoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrzej Shevchenko in the 55th minute of play. Paolo Guerrero scored 0-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jurand Rasiak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. U21 Peru made a substitution. Baltasar Terminel replaced Oswaldo Llacin. U21 Peru were furious when Siro Subijana was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. U21 Peru made a substitution. Americo Fontan replaced Hipolito Suane. U21 Peru's Bernardino Colmenares was substituted for Paolo Guerrero. U21 Peru:s Txema Udoy showed great skill when he stopped Wawrzyniec Piechna:s penalty. Roland Gacki got a throw-in 84 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Beniamin Absolwent. U21 Peru's Americo Fontan got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Peru's goalkeeper Txema Udoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute Americo Fontan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurand Rasiak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wlodzimierz Debkowski got a throw-in 93 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Roland Gacki. Baltasar Terminel hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Txema Udoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Shevchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Wawrzyniec Piechna hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Txema Udoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wawrzyniec Piechna's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. The U21 Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
