Inocencio Beila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaspar Mäe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, U21 Estonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Udo Oksa to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, U21 Estonia's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Gaxan came free, but Rauno Lubi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucio Gaxan got free with Rauno Lubi in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Kaspar Mäe fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Estonia's protests and gave Kaspar Mäe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to U21 Estonia getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Kaspar Mäe hit a great ball. Lucio Gaxan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rauno Lubi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Inocencio Beila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Just, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Wilfredo Paul could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Rauno Lubi made a huge save. U21 Estonia's Rauno Lubi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Estonia from getting a goal against them. U21 Argentina's Lucio Gaxan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rauno Lubi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 48 minutes, Lucio Gaxan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Argentina and the U21 Estonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 48 played minutes U21 Argentina got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Gaxan. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gabriel Just made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Wilfredo Paul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Gabriel Just took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Inocencio Beila to make any attempt to save it. In the 63rdth minute of the game Lucio Gaxan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Estonia's Rauno Lubi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gabriel Just could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Inocencio Beila made a huge save. Rauno Lubi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Gaxan, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Inocencio Beila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrik Teinemaa in the 71st minute of play. In the 95th minute Raivo Valvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Beila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The U21 Estonia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
