In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 France's goalkeeper Jimmy Beaucamp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jimmy Beaucamp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Peter in the 12th minute of play. Jimmy Beaucamp made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Vic Castel sent off a good shot on target. Ramon Peter was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. U21 Mexico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 25 minutes into the match, U21 France's Valentin Fère sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengi Price narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of U21 Mexico booed when U21 France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandon Hénault didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the game, U21 France's Valentin Fère nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengi Price made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Valentin Fère scored 1-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengi Price, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Bengi Price showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Fère in the 52nd minute of the match. Valentin Fère succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. After some careless play in the U21 Mexico defense, Valentin Fère kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bengi Price. The U21 Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengi Price should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute, Felix Dumoulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genaro Olo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Mexico made a substitution. Angel Mena replaced Genaro Olo. After a rather tough play, U21 France's Felix Dumoulin got a free kick in the 79th minute. Jimmy Beaucamp came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Mexico's Natalio Clodio. But to his dismay, Natalio Clodio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. After 87 minutes of play, U21 Mexico's Angel Mena made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmy Beaucamp was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jimmy Beaucamp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Peter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th match minute, U21 Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Mena to maneuver through the defense. The U21 Mexico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 France's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 France.
