Amro Al Tufail fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heman Mahal having to interfere. Kinjata Sangha took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Faruq Ayham. Faruq Ayham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Kinjata Sangha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Faruq Ayham came out and tried to block the shot, but Kinjata Sangha slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 30th minute. Kinjata Sangha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Faruq Ayham made a huge save. Faruq Ayham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kinjata Sangha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Lebanon's goal looked a bit too open when Kinjata Sangha came free, but Faruq Ayham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Akram Jabalah to strike the kick off in the second half.
