Argentina's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bona Dios in the 69th minute. Bona Dios made a great header on Argentina's corner, it was just that Lebanon's Faruq Ayham managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Anibal Colon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Faruq Ayham. That made the score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lebanon's goalkeeper Faruq Ayham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lebanon's Faruq Ayham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Colon in the 80th minute of play. Anibal Colon might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faruq Ayham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anibal Colon ran back to his position shaking his head. Anibal Colon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Faruq Ayham made a huge save. If Amro Al Tufail had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Colon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th match minute, Lebanon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haidar Kardal to maneuver through the defense.
