Robert Beerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Mark Noble in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Spain's Indar Domenech. Abdika Felipez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierce Fenton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute of the match, Hori Valerón tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Keith Lee-Barrett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Travis Waple's late challenge caught a U21 Spain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Travis Waple helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Travis Waple hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Robert Beerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdika Felipez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes, Pierce Fenton made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Spain's Abdika Felipez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mark Noble made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Spain's Efraín Camino. The U21 Spain players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 England were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Pierce Fenton made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Pritchard in the 51st minute of play forced U21 Spain's goalkeeper Abdika Felipez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Perfumo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Keith Lee-Barrett. U21 England's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 54th match minute, U21 Spain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Perfumo to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th match minute, U21 England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Beerman to maneuver through the defense. U21 England's Pablo Zabaleta was substituted for Matt Sercombe. A collision led to U21 England getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Robert Beerman hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loyd Folwill got free with Abdika Felipez in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the game, Loyd Folwill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 England's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Spain the free kick. In the 67th match minute, U21 England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loyd Folwill to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of U21 Spain booed when U21 England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Folwill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdika Felipez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Beerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A nice corner shot did that Robert Beerman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abdika Felipez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 80 minutes into the match, U21 England's goal looked a bit too open when Hori Valerón came free, but Keith Lee-Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes U21 Spain got a freekick which was hit by Baudelio Valcarcel. The throw-in from Mark Noble in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Spain's Efraín Camino. 84 minutes into the match, Reyes No notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of U21 England's Keith Lee-Barrett. Keith Lee-Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hori Valerón hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Efraín Camino hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
